CUTS, 2012

In the video CUTS, a forest scene is traced and ultimately cut and destroyed by a laser cutter. The tension between nature and technology is intensified through the sound (with Wave Sleep Wave singer/guitarist Jerry Adler), which layers machine noise with forest sounds, which are incrementally synthesized in a third sound layer.
